And the results are in:
0.7kg lighter than a month ago.
1cm smaller round the waist (best guess – it’s kinda squidgy so accurate readings are hard to maintain)
1cm smaller round the hips (the widest part of my bum, and across the crotch).
This represents Progress.
It still means that I have a long way to go before I qualify as merely overweight according to the BMI definitions, but hey, I feel good, and that (for me) is what this is about – not some arbitrary definition of a word based on a number. So I exercise to get fitter, I watch my portion sizes to give me less bulk to move around, and I feel happier physically. That’s my goal, and I’m achieving it.
